Labor Day Weekend - No Game

Labor Day weekend is coming up, so please enjoy your holiday weekend! We are off this Saturday. With that said, we have 2 weeks to prepare for our next game on September 7th. We will hold practice this Tuesday the 27th, and Thursday the 29th. Both sessions will run from 7-9 PM. Practice will be held at Hutchins Athletic Field. Home Opener vs Peoria Pigs - August 24th

This past Saturday, we traveled west to take on the Rockford Ravens to open our Fall 2019 season. Unfortunately, it was a heartbreaker as the Ravens scored with 4 minutes left to go up a score. After driving down the field following a few Rockford penalties, Lake County fell just short of the try line at the death. The boys fought hard but ultimately fell 19-15 to the Ravens. We would like to thank Rockford for being gracious hosts and giving us a great match!

Despite the loss, it is time to look ahead to this Saturday the 24th. We're hosting the Peoria Pigs for our home opener! Kick-off is set for 1 PM. The match will be played at Hutchins Athletic Field, 36753 Hutchins Rd. in Gurnee. The post-match social will be held right at our pitch. Our Fall 2019 season kicks off tomorrow! Lake County RFC is traveling west to take on the Rockford Ravens! The game will be played at Kieselburg County Forest Preserve. Kick-off is set for 1 PM. The post-match social will be held at the forest preserve. The theme for Saturday is Suit Coats and Leggings. Make sure to bring your best sports jacket or blazer for Saturday! Lake County RFC At Lindenfest 2019!

On a non-rugby related note... we will be volunteering at Lindenfest this weekend! On Friday and Saturday, come check out the bingo tent. Lake County RFC will be on the scene starting at 10 PM.
