About Us

Lake County Rugby Club was founded in fall of 1990 and is currently the only team in the Lake County area..  We are a non-profit organization with around 30 active members that fill up our roster for both the spring and fall seasons.  We are currently a Division III team with the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union.  We are a young and eager club with a very athletic group of guys all ready to push this club to the next level.  Not only are we an athletic club, but we are also members of the community and take great pride in giving back anyway we can.

Grandwood Park community are staunch supporters and they continue to be a part of the foundation of our team.  Stop by sometime and you will find us practicing and playing on our home field in Grandwood park (on the corner of Stearns School Rd and Hutchins Rd).  This year we are hoping to reignite our team and the community with this sport of rugby.
