This past Saturday, we traveled west to take on the Rockford Ravens to open our Fall 2019 season. Unfortunately, it was a heartbreaker as the Ravens scored with 4 minutes left to go up a score. After driving down the field following a few Rockford penalties, Lake County fell just short of the try line at the death. The boys fought hard but ultimately fell 19-15 to the Ravens. We would like to thank Rockford for being gracious hosts and giving us a great match!
Despite the loss, it is time to look ahead to this Saturday the 24th. We're hosting the Peoria Pigs for our home opener! Kick-off is set for 1 PM. The match will be played at Hutchins Athletic Field, 36753 Hutchins Rd. in Gurnee. The post-match social will be held right at our pitch. Our theme for the social on Saturday is Hawaiian Nights, so bring your best Hawaiian shirt and Luau skirt! Check out the Schedule page for more information regarding our entire Fall 2019 schedule.
We will hold practice this Tuesday the 20th, and Thursday the 22th. Both sessions will run from 7-9 PM. Practice will be held at Hutchins Athletic Field. Please make sure to bring boots (rugby/football/soccer cleats without a toe spike, mouth guard, water). Send us an email if you'd be interested in joining our team!
